Weather is the engine of wealth generation

In Grow a Garden 2, weather is not cosmetic. It controls the mutation windows that matter most for profit. If you track the day and night clock and the current source-checked weather triggers, you can time Electric, Rainbow, Frozen, Aurora, and Starstruck windows more reliably. Bloodlit remains excluded because its multiplier is not cross-checked.

Because weather affects the whole active server, tracking the cycle still gives you a real edge.

The core day and night cycle

Before predicting storms and special events, anchor your timing to the standard game-day duration. One full in-game rotation lasts exactly 10 minutes, or 600 seconds.

PhaseDurationMechanics
Morning7 minutes 30 secondsDefault farming state. Best window for active seed sowing and watering.
Sunset30 secondsTransition phase with a yellow skybox tint. Use this warning window to lock down plots or prepare for garden raids.
Night2 minutesLow visibility. Active stealing is enabled. Moon Events can trigger only during this phase.

Standard weather events

Verified public references describe one active crop mutation at a time, so weather planning is about catching the right window rather than stacking multiple weather multipliers on one fruit.

Rain5 min2x growth speed to all plantsN/AUse it to speed regrowth or push slower crops through a growth check.

Starfall2 minApplies Starstruck to random crops50xKeep premium crops planted only if you are chasing rare event outcomes.
Aurora2 minApplies Aurora to random crops40xA high-value event window that still needs in-game confirmation after patches.

Night moon events

When the 2-minute Night phase begins, the server can enter a special moon event. These moon types change what can spawn or mutate during that night.

Normal Moon

Standard night behavior. Regular stealing rules apply.

Gold Moon

This is the Midas event. Gold Seeds can spawn randomly, and stolen fruits can turn Gold on a chance basis. Gold is a verified 10x mutation.

Rainbow Moon

Rainbow Seeds can spawn randomly, and stolen fruits can turn Rainbow on a chance basis. Rainbow is a source-checked 30x mutation in the current dataset.

Blood Moon

Blood Moon can apply the Bloodlit mutation to random crops. Public references confirm the trigger, but not the multiplier, so treat it as a premium event with unverified payout.

Mega Moon

Mega Moon spawns Mega Seeds randomly, and stolen fruits can become bigger on a chance basis. Prioritize it when you are hunting oversized harvests rather than raw verified mutation value.
